Meet The Board

The creation of Iceni Homes has brought together a very experienced development team from across the three partner Housing Associations and the public and private sectors. The team has first-hand knowledge of partnership working with developers including purchasing land, working with Local Authorities, planning departments and managing residential construction projects to completion.

Successfully obtaining grants is a core part of the work undertaken by Iceni Homes. In close partnership with Housing Associations and the Homes and Communities Agency, we play an active role in securing these funds on a local and regional basis.

Iceni Homes prides ourselves on our successful track record of growth and innovation, firmly based around the principles of commercial expertise, consultation and partnership working with Local Authorities, developers and other agencies.

Board:

Iceni Homes is managed by an experienced board comprising of two members from each of Iceni’s sponsoring Housing Associations plus the Managing Director of Iceni Homes.

Board Members:

Mike Goodson – Company Secretary and Managing Director Iceni Homes
Mike Goodson is a very experienced social housing practitioner with over 40 years experience under his belt. He joined Iceni Homes in 2005 from the South Norfolk Housing Partnership where he was Operations Director. Prior to this, Mike  worked as Director of Housing for South Norfolk District Council for 19 years and also as Assistant Housing Manager for Norwich City Council for nine years. Mike is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Bill Frame - Chairman of the Board

Bill has been a member of Colne's Board since 1996 and was Vice Chairman from 2004-2007and Chairman since September 2007. He previously worked in Human Resources in a senior role in the energy and water industries. Bill was previously Leader of Colchester Council and a non Executive Director of North Essex Mental Health Trust and has strong connections with affordable housing in the area. He is also currently an Associate Mental Health Manager with North Essex Mental Health Trust.

Ian Winslet – Chief Executive Suffolk Housing Society
Ian joined Suffolk Housing Society in January 2011. As well as being a Director of Iceni Homes he also sits on the Board of Linnet Property Management, and is a member of the Society’s Board of Management.  Ian was formally Chief Executive of Croydon Churches Housing Association, having joined there as Operations Director in 2000 and previously held various private sector renewal, enforcement and strategy roles in London and Kent Local Authorities.  He is a Board Member of New World Housing Association, Balham, London.

Chris Jackson – Chief Executive Hundred Houses Society
As Chief Executive of one of Cambridge’s leading housing associations, Chris is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Society and the achievement of the Society’s vision, values and strategic objectives.

Mark Powell Davies – Chief Executive Colne Housing Society
Mark Powell Davies joined Colne Housing as Chief Executive in 1996 with over 20 years experience in the housing sector. Previously 'founding' Development Director of Peddars Way Housing Association, a major Large Scale Voluntary Transfer, Mark also worked in senior housing management, technical and development roles with a number of Registered Social Landlords and Local Authorities.  He is a law graduate from Durham University and a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Housing.  He is currently Chair of the National Housing Federation Eastern Region’s Committee.

Ian Kidman – representing Hundred Houses Society
Ian is a self-employed antiquarian book consultant, cataloguer and valuer, and has held many positions in public office in Cambridge including County Councillor (Education), District Councillor (Housing) and was a member of Cambridgeshire Police Authority.  Ian became Chairman for Hundred Houses Society in September 2011.  Ian is currently a School Governor for Arbury Primary School and Chesterton Community College.

Andrew Budden - representing Suffolk Housing Society
Andrew has been a Board member for Suffolk Housing Society since 2008 and is a member of their Operations Committee.  Previously Andrew was the Development Director for Hastoe Housing Association.
