Rural Accommodation

Working closely with Local Authorities, Parish Councils and the wider local community including schools, Iceni Homes develops rural affordable housing to ensure that people and families with ties to rural communities can continue to live locally. By focusing on the needs of local people we help to sustain balanced communities within rural settings.

Type of scheme: Eco-friendly affordable housing scheme comprising ten homes.

Location: Pebmarsh, Essex.

Partners: Iceni Homes, Suffolk Housing, builders Elliston, Steady and Hawes, Braintree District Council, architects The Johns Practice and the Homes and Communities Agency.

The development: The affordable housing on land adjacent to Water Lane, Pebmarsh includes ten new homes comprising of two two-bed bungalows, two two-bed flats, three two-bed homes, two three-bed homes and one four-bed house. The homes meet Level Three of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
