6 New Affordable Homes for Rural Meldreth

Posted: Jan 4, 2012

Iceni are working in partnership with Hundred Houses Society, Meldreth Parish Council, South Cambridgeshire District Council and developers Bloor Homes to build the 6 new family homes in Meldreth.  All our partners share Iceni's vision of building sustainable, well designed, high-quality affordable homes to fulfill the increasing demand for affordable housing accross the region.  Our picture shows representatives from all our partners at a recent visit to the site to view progress.

Building work started in autumn 2011 and the new properties, comprising four x two-bedroom houses and two x three-bedroom houses will be completed in summer 2012.

Mark Powell, Housing Portfolio Holder for South Cambridgeshire Dirtrict Council comments " The Council is very pleased to be working with Hundred Houses on this new development in Meldreth.  There is a high demand for affordable housing in South Cambridgeshire and these six new family homes will be very sought after."

Chris Jackson, Chief Executive, Hundred Houses Society adds " The location and specification of these homes is excellent and will serve current and future families well."

This is another example of the outstanding track record Iceni has for excellence in finding and delivering new developments and we are pleased to be working in such a successful partnership.
